"Practical Genomics: From Biology to Biostatistics"

Please note that you will be expected to complete 4-8 hours of work each month leading up to the workshop (e.g. R and Unix tutorials, readings, software installation).

This registration form will reserve your spot for two weeks. If the following assignment is not completed within two weeks, your spot may be forfeited.

Swirl instructions:
  • Follow instructions on swirlstats.com/students.html
  • Once in Swirl, install “R Programming: The basics of programming in R”
  • Do lessons 1: "Basic Building Blocks" through 15: "Base Graphics"
  • Submit a screenshot of your final plot to genomics@jhu.edu

Cost for 4-day Workshop (Aug 14-17):

Faculty and Staff: $550
Hopkins and Carnegie students and postdocs: $325 (courtesy of ICTR subsidy*)

*Current Johns Hopkins University students and postdocs automatically qualify for a subsidy generously provided by the Johns Hopkins ICTR, resulting in a lower registration fee.

A limited number of additional subsidies are available for non-Hopkins students and postdocs. Please contact us for more information.

Faculty and staff can use this form for tuition remission. ICTR has already filled out the information for you.
